One of Amazon's best-selling mounts (about 50,600 ratings) and Car and Driver's easiest dash/windshield mount, with an excellent locking suction cup and very fine adjustment. But Car and Driver found it bounces a bit on rough roads, and some Amazon owners say it fell off.

Top complaints

  • Bounces on rough roads

Car and Driver says it will vibrate and bounce a bit on rough roads and gets a bit wobbly over bumps.

  • Falls off for some owners

Amazon's review summary says secure fit and suction are mixed: some say it sticks well to the windshield, others report it falling off, and some find the suction insufficient.

  • Vent attachment can bend slats

Wirecutter found the best-selling Vanmass dashboard mount fine, but its air-vent configuration had no hook and visibly bent the vent slats during installation.
