Wirecutter's best self-standing stick vac and #6 in Vacuum Wars' ranking, excellent on pet hair, with a 5-year warranty. But it's heavy and top-heavy, misses edges, is loud (84 dB), has a tiny bin, and runs only about 13 minutes on max.

Top complaints

  • Heavy and top-heavy

Wirecutter says it feels heavy and can tire hands and wrists because the battery sits under the handle. Vacuum Wars measured 1,900 g and notes awkward handheld balance and above-average length. A Walmart owner says it is very heavy, and Amazon owners are split on weight.

  • Tiny bin, misses edges

Wirecutter says its bin of just over 13 ounces is the smallest of its picks and fills fast with pet hair. The self-standing mechanism limits pivoting, so it misses edges and corners. Vacuum Wars also calls the 400 ml bin small.

  • Loud, short battery on high power

Vacuum Wars measured 84 dB (against a 77 dB average) and about 13 minutes on max power. Low-star Walmart owners report 10-20 minutes of battery life, and Amazon battery feedback is mixed.

What owners love

  • Excellent on pet hair

Wirecutter says the dual-roll head excels at pet hair and its motorized mini brush lifted pet hair from upholstery better than others tested. Amazon owners praise the suction on crumbs and dog hair and the headlights.

  • Strong all-surface pickup

Vacuum Wars gave it perfect pickup scores on both surfaces and 94% carpet deep cleaning (against a 93% average). Wirecutter says it did about as well as the Dyson V10 Konical in coffee-grounds pickup.

  • Stands on its own, five-year warranty

Wirecutter says it stands sturdily on its own, runs nearly 40 minutes in real-world use, and has a five-year warranty.
