Wirecutter's top pick for value, with an angled handle, an 8-hour battery and a lifetime warranty. With a 12 mm stroke it isn't a true deep-tissue gun, and Wirecutter found it top-heavy and loud at its highest speed.

Top complaints

  • Not true deep tissue

Garage Gym Reviews says that if you want a true deep-tissue treatment you'll want a 16 mm gun; the B37 has 12 mm. It also says the round attachment could be denser.

  • Awkward button and top-heavy feel

Wirecutter says the power/speed button sits on top of the gun, which is less convenient than a thumb button, and the gun felt a tad top-heavy. Garage Gym Reviews says the handle could be longer.

  • Loud at top speed; auto shut-off

Wirecutter found it quiet on low but had trouble hearing TV on the highest setting. It shuts off after 10 minutes (you can restart it), and the motor warmed slightly in a 15-minute run.

What owners love

  • Lifetime warranty

Covers defects including the battery, attachments and motor; Wirecutter calls it the strongest coverage it has seen.

  • Very long battery

Rated 8 hours; Wirecutter didn't need to charge it once in three-plus weeks. The 2026 redesign added USB-C charging.

  • Comfortable angled grip

Wirecutter says the 15-degree grippy handle makes the upper back and calves easier to reach. FitnessVolt says the angle eases wrist strain, and GGR likes the soft-touch grip for sweaty hands.

Good for
  • Buyers who want the longest warranty (lifetime)
  • Rare charging (8-hour rated battery)
  • Reaching the upper back or calves with an angled grip

Scores (tap for why)

  • Power & depth3.5
Why 3.5?12 mm and 56 lb stall force; GGR finds it quite powerful but not true deep tissue.
  • Quietness4.0
Why 4.0?GGR: quietest tested (5/5). Wirecutter: quiet on low, but it drowned out TV at the highest speed.
  • Ergonomics & weight4.0
Why 4.0?The angled, grippy handle is praised, but it weighs 2.1 lb, feels top-heavy and has a top-mounted button (Wirecutter).
  • Battery5.0
Why 5.0?8 hours rated, the longest GGR tested (5/5); no recharge needed in three-plus weeks for Wirecutter.
  • Durability4.0
Why 4.0?The lifetime warranty is the standout. Little owner data: Walmart has only 5 ratings, one mentioning a broken screw in a first unit.

What experts say

  • Wirecutter (NYT): Top pick for solid value and a comfortable experience; best battery and warranty of its picks. The flaws are the top-mounted button, a slightly top-heavy feel and noise at top speed.
  • Garage Gym Reviews: Quietest pick (35–55 dB), battery 5/5, and 56 lb stall force. Only 12 mm amplitude.
  • FitnessVolt: Best ergonomic value (B37v2); a less mainstream brand, not compact, and the case takes space.
