OutdoorGearLab's best value and Popular Science's budget pick: about 1 kWh that recharges from the wall in under an hour, with six AC outlets and 140 W USB-C. Its fan gets loud near full load, and unlike the first generation it can't add expansion batteries and has no built-in light.

What experts say

  • OutdoorGearLab: Best value for most people (score 70, 5th of 14, review 2026-07-23). Fast charging and user-friendly, but a loud fan and no expansion.
  • Popular Science: Best budget pick (updated 2025-10-28). Strong specs for the price and fast charging, but not for RVs or large appliances.
