Privacy & security3.0
Why 3.0?
Encrypted in transit and in the cloud, but 2FA is optional. TP-Link is under US scrutiny (which it disputes) and issued a 2026 security firmware fix.

What experts say

Wirecutter (NYT): Runner-up for outdoor cameras (updated 2026-09-02) and the top cordless pick in the overview guide. Its flaws are grainy color night vision, no 5 GHz, and a non-replaceable battery.
Digital Camera World: Image quality, easy installation and free AI make up for a frustrating app setup.
