Wirecutter's cordless pick: a simple, nimble machine that cleaned combination messes as well as models two or three times the price. But the tanks are small, it leaves a gap at both edges, runtime is short, and the battery can't be replaced.

Top complaints

  • Small tanks, easily overwhelmed filter

Wirecutter says the 0.6-liter clean tank is small and the debris filter is small and easily overwhelmed, leaving a gross dirty tank. Vacuum Chef lists a 600 ml clean and 500 ml dirty tank, both smaller than average.

  • Misses edges and corners

Wirecutter found a small but noticeable gap at both ends of the mop head, so you must approach baseboards head-on. Vacuum Chef says it leaves edges and corners unmopped.

  • Short runtime, non-replaceable battery

Wirecutter got about 30 minutes per charge and Vacuum Chef about 20. Wirecutter says the battery isn't replaceable and the two-year warranty doesn't cover capacity loss with age.

What owners love

  • Cleans like pricier models

Wirecutter says it picked up a full milk-and-cereal spill in one pass and a dried mud stain in two, among the best results it saw and better than some models double or triple its price.

  • Light and nimble

Wirecutter calls it light and easy to handle without feeling flimsy, with motorized wheels that didn't tug testers' arms much. Vacuum Chef also calls it lightweight and maneuverable.

  • Very simple to use

Wirecutter says you just fill the tank and press a button, with two modes (eco and max), and that its user-friendliness is notable.

  • Durability3.0

What experts say

  • Wirecutter (NYT): Best cordless mop-vacuum combo (guide updated 2025-07-31): efficient and quick, outperforming pricier cordless models. Flaws: small clean tank, weak debris separation, a gap at the edges and a non-replaceable battery. Two-year warranty.
  • Vacuum Chef: An easy budget recommendation (2026-06-06), with about 20 minutes of runtime, small tanks, no edge cleaning and no headlight.
