Top complaints
Dell UltraSharp U2725QE
- Wobbly stand
Wirecutter says Dell attached this monitor to a subpar stand: if you type forcefully, the screen bobs along with the desk, and it recommends a monitor arm. RTINGS, by contrast, rates its ergonomics as outstanding.
- Reflections in bright rooms
RTINGS lists mediocre reflection handling as its only con. It says the screen reflects more than the Asus ProArt 6K and that reflected light has a pink tint, so the cheaper Dell S2725QC may be better in a bright room.
- Setup and compatibility trouble for some owners
Amazon's summary says some owners find it tricky to configure and that compatibility gets mixed reviews, with some saying it fails badly. One 1-star review reports lines of bad pixels within a year. An RTINGS reader also found daisy-chaining limited at 4K 120Hz.
Asus ProArt PA248CRV
- Text not as crisp as higher-resolution screens
Wirecutter says that if it's your main work display you may want a higher-resolution 27-inch monitor, where text is sharper and multitasking less cramped. Amazon owners are mixed on image quality, with some saying the resolution isn't very crisp.
- Many low ratings on a small listing
16% of Amazon ratings are 1 star and 5% are 2 stars, from only 52 ratings. Amazon's summary rates compatibility negatively, citing one owner whose serial number didn't work.
- Can be hard to find in stock
Wirecutter marks its Amazon link as 'may be out of stock' and lists Walmart and Best Buy at different prices.
