Top complaints

Secretlab Titan Evo

  • Firm seat, slow to break in

Many Wirecutter testers found the cushion firm and less comfortable at first. Tom's Guide lists 'takes some time to break in' as its only con. Firmness gets mixed feedback in Amazon's review summary.

  • Fiddly pillow and limited on-the-fly adjustment

PCMag says the magnetic head pillow is easy to nudge out of position. Wirecutter notes you can only change armrest width by unscrewing them, and some testers couldn't reach the lumbar knobs while seated.

  • Price creep and paid extras

PCMag notes prices rose from $429-$519 to a $549 start. Wirecutter says the Technogel arm tops cost $90 and the legrest $300. Amazon owners are split on whether it is worth the price.

Razer Iskur V2

  • Poor head pillow

Tom's Guide calls the strap-on pillow among the worst it has used: flat, awkwardly shaped and not magnetic at this price. Wirecutter also found the pillow less comfortable than its top pick's.

  • Firm seat that can get sore

Wirecutter says it made the reviewer's butt and thighs sore more quickly than its picks. Tom's Guide found the cushion firm at first, settling in after a day or two. Amazon owners give the firm cushion mixed reactions.

  • Fits fewer body types; firm arms

Wirecutter says it isn't as accommodating for as many heights and weights as the Titan Evo, and its armrests are less comfortable. Tom's Guide found the arms slightly firmer than it likes.
