Amazon's #2 best seller, with long battery life and strong ANC when it seals. But every expert we read has reservations: SoundGuys scored comfort 2.9/10 for small earcups and a tight band, Tom's Guide finds the Bluetooth sound thin, and owners report one side dying.

Top complaints

  • Small earcups: tight, hot and hard to wear

SoundGuys scored comfort 2.9: the earcups are small, the band presses on the top of the skull, and its reviewer couldn't wear them for more than an hour. It advises glasses wearers and people with larger heads or ears to avoid them. Tom's Guide says the earcups heat up fast, and Amazon's summary calls fit mixed, with some saying they're too tight.

  • One side dying, buzzing or breaking

Amazon's summary says some owners report one side not working, the headphones breaking in half, and lost Bluetooth connections. Low-star Walmart reviews describe one side failing (including on the first day), buzzing after 2 months, and ANC that stopped working. SoundGuys calls the build cheap-feeling and scores it 4.6.

  • Sound, mic and features don't match the price

Wirecutter says spatial audio drastically changes the sound (boomy with it on, thin bass with it off), neither ANC nor hear-through is adjustable, and EQ only works over USB-C. Tom's Guide lists 'thin sound on Bluetooth' and calls it expensive for the performance. SoundGuys calls the mic disappointing. Walmart 1-star reviewers say it doesn't sound like a $300 pair.

What owners love

Good for
  • People with smaller heads and ears
  • Long battery between charges
  • Wired listening over USB-C or 3.5 mm

What experts say

  • SoundGuys: 7.4: 'on paper these are solid ANC headphones, in practice: it varies.' The cons are fit, comfort, construction and confusing indicators.
  • Tom's Guide: 'A day late and a dollar short' against Sony and AirPods Max. The cons are thin Bluetooth sound, no IPX rating, earcups that heat up fast, and a high price.
  • Wirecutter (NYT): Not a pick: 'for every positive, this pair has an equally disappointing downside', especially sound that changes drastically with spatial audio.
