A hugely popular flip maker that Amazon owners love and Good Housekeeping rates best rotating model. Wirecutter and Serious Eats, though, saw uneven cooking and burning, and it has a timer instead of a browning dial.

Top complaints

  • Uneven cooking and burning in tests

Wirecutter found it cooked unevenly and so quickly that waffles started to burn. Serious Eats says it tended to burn at higher temperatures.

  • Timer instead of a shade dial

Good Housekeeping notes there's no shade selector; you set a timer, and it beeps until you press a button again.

  • Slower heat-up, one waffle, big footprint

Serious Eats says it took about 90 seconds longer to heat than the best flip models and makes one waffle at a time; Wirecutter says it takes a lot of counter space in use.

What owners love

  • Owners love the results

Amazon's review summary says owners call it the best Belgian waffle maker they've used, making golden waffles every time and cooking evenly.

  • Consistent, crispy waffles that release easily

Good Housekeeping got reliably well-browned, tender and crispy Belgian waffles that were easy to remove; Amazon owners praise the nonstick surface.

  • Stores upright

A kickstand lets you store it vertically, and it flips smoothly (Good Housekeeping).

  • Belgian waffles on a mid budget
  • Upright storage
