Good Housekeeping's best Samsung tablet for kids: the 11-inch Galaxy Tab A9+ in a very durable case with kid-size Crayo-Pens and built-in time limits and downtime. It costs more than the regular A9+, and we found little other expert coverage.

Subscription: None required. Parental controls with time limits and downtime are built in (Good Housekeeping). Geek Squad Protection is an optional $70/yr extra at Best Buy (Good Housekeeping).

  • Middling storage

Good Housekeeping says 64GB sits between most Fire tablets and the iPad, enough for most young children's games. PCMag found the regular 64GB A9+ leaves about 48GB free.
